While spinning fiber on spinning wheels is a comparatively modern innovation, spinning fibers together for cloth making has been done for 20,000+ years.  Then, it was done on spindles.  This class gives you the opportunity to reconnect with your ancestral heritage by learning to spin on a drop spindle. Besides spinning, you will also learn how to create plied yarn with this wool.  This may appear slower, more primitive, but the drop spindle is a very effective tool, plus it is more affordable and portable than a spinning wheel.

A handout with terminology and resources will be covered.

Bring your own spindle or a spindle is included with your kit.
